1624, photographs of Roland Spannagel, assembling T.M.
_Roland sent me these photos in the hope that they would inspire me. It was a success. But there are too many of them, it will take me years to get the unexpected aesthetic that must spring from what they bring me: a cauldron of admiration - of those who make and those who organize -, of wonder even - what a sky! And the Moselle, that great magician -, of sadness - where the swamps and their frogs have gone -, of tears - we never stop playing at giving and taking away the work here -, of anguish - it's going to start again - and of rage - the impotence of the modest condition -. I would like my abstractions to speak to you at the heart of all this, but without a word, just the shadow, the light and the unstoppable geometries that stand in the way. It's hard for me to ignore any of these shots, so I'm sharing them with you T.M.
